New Members Welcomed to CLYC

 On March 20, 2008, the CLYC officially welcomed 82 new members to our fold. 

The evening kicked off with a pre-mixer in the marina lounge where new members were treated to wine and appetizers and were officially welcomed by our Commodore, John Rebholtz.  The new members had the opportunity to chat with the CLYC Bridge and committee chair people.  The new members were encouraged to volunteer for CLYC committees  Thanks to the many who have jumped right in!

At 6 p.m. everyone joined the CLYC “old-timers” upstairs where a scrumptious array appetizers awaited,  along with two bartenders working feverishly to keep up with the orders. 

Kudos to everyone who helped make the night’s festivities a success.  A special thank you to Judy Francis and Kay Harris for organizing the event, Grace Gandt for her beautiful floral arrangements,  Bill Jackson for the special nautical themed background music, and Jim & Sandy Cope for keeping the fire marshal happy and pushing those raffle tickets.

Speaking of raffle tickets, our 50-50 raffle continues to be a bit hit.  We gave away a total of $100, with Karen Harding being the night’s big winner.
